Absentee Voting

The Virginia Department of Elections encourages voters to protect their health during the COVID-19 pandemic. Voting absentee in the upcoming May election is strongly encouraged. Voters have 3 options to receive an absentee ballot.

(1)   Call the local registrar (926-8683) to request an application.

The register will send an application. You must select 2A: "My Disability or Illness" as the reason.  After you return the application, the registrar will send an absentee ballot. 

(2)   Request an application online at https://www.elections.virginia.gov/casting-a-ballot/absentee-voting/

(3)   Request a ballot online at https://www.elections.virginia.gov/casting-a-ballot/absentee-voting/

You must select DMV options to sign the application electronically, eliminating the requirement of sending in a paper application.  

You are strongly encouraged to apply online today. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is April 28th.
